FCA and Autonomy main sponsors of the World Para Alpine Skiing Championship

The press conference for the World Para Alpine Skiing Championships was held today in Rome. The competition will take place in Tarvisio (Udine) from January 22 to 31, 2017, on the “Di Prampero” track of Monte Lussari –  one of the most beautiful descents of the whole Alpine arch.

This is the most important event waiting for the first Winter Parade of Pyeong Chang 2018 with nearly 280 participants from thirty countries all over the world, from Andorra to Hungary, from Argentina to the USA.

The athletes are divided into three categories: blind and visually impaired, with disabilities in the upper or lower limbs (standing skiing) and with lower limb disabilities (sitting skiing in a kind of shell).

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, which for more than 20 years have been close to the world the mobility of the disabled and of differently-abled athletes, could not miss this important appointment thanks to the Autonomy program. It was born to encourage, facilitate and ensure the freedom of movement for everyone and with its mobility centers, offering every disabled customer a realistic help in solving the problems of driving a car adapted to its needs.

At the World Para Alpine Skiing Championships Autonomy will provide means of transport for both athletes and organizers: in addition to full-length Jeep Renegades, some Fiat Professional Ducato will guarantee the most comfortable transportation for the athletes.
The participants in the event will compete in several categories: January 25th free descent, 26 January Super G, 28 January Super Combined (Alpine Combined), 30th Giant Slalom and 31st January Slalom.
